Hi,
my E4XT Ultra came with 8 CDs from EIIIx Sound Library:
Volume 1 - Emulator Standards
Volume 2 - More Emulator Standards
Volume 3 - Orchestral
Volume 4 - Sound FX
Volume 5 - World Instruments
Volume 6 - World Percussion/Ensembles
Volume 7 - E-mu Classics
Volume 8 - Vintage
Now, I would like to find the complete list of CDs of E-MU Sound Library (the only produced by E-MU and not from 3rd parts) available for E4XT Ultra.
Anyone can help me?
I've already tryed with google but with no good results. :-(
Thanks.
K.

Hi Komyx,
That's a great question. i've been trying to find a complete list myself.
I bought a really cool E4XT from ebay and it has the following 9 cd sample library:
E4 Ultra Production Set Backup Data
EIIIX Vol.4 Sound FX
EIIIX Vol.6 World Percussion/Ensembles
EIIIX Vol.7 E-MU Classics
EIIIX Vol.8 Vintage
Formula 4000 ESC-5300 Hip Hop Nation
Formula 4000 ESC-5301 Techno Trance
Formula 4000 ESC-5302 Earth Tones
Formula 4000 ESC-5303 Analog Odyssey
I have no clue if this is the original sound library bundled with the E4XT. I would have throught you'd have Vol.1,2,3,5 and no Formula 4000's.
Would anyone be able to verify the sound library for me? and, would any be able to provide a copy of the special sounddiver for use with E-MU. My E4XT is missing the sounddiver.
Thank you for your time,
Andy

There are at least 16 total. I know of the following in addition to the above:
Vol 11? - ESI-32 150MB production soundset
Vol 12? - ESI-32 production set #2
Vol 13 - Dance 2000
Vol 16 - 26 studio drum kits
There's a Dan Dean Basses disk too, I think it's vol 14. And there's one more Formula 4000 disk, Protozoa (sounds from the Proteus series).
I also have an E4 Producer series 1 and 2, and a 3D Audio disk, which I suppose are original Emu releases. There was also an 'Analogia Project' or something like that as well.

Orbit Beats
Then there is the E-Mu classic series

Vintage
Psychic Horns
Elements of Sound 1mb
Elements of Sound 2MB

and best of all, when i started out making music years ago - I did the typical thing to do which was just buy lots of sampler cds. I didn't even know what Akai and E-mu were when i started, i just knew if i bought them, i could use the sounds. Now i look back and see that i have more emu compatible cd's than when i started which is cool.
I'm sure there must be many more out there. An internet search is a good option.

I think it partly has to do with when you bought it also, I remember Emu adding to the included library on at least one occassion as a promo.
And I know those Formula 4000 volumes are actually for the ESI series samplers, an early EOS series won't even load the presets due to not having enough preset memory.

I have not used these sounds in some time, but from what I remember there were some very good sounds in the Dance 2000. I know I made a beat with it.
Most of thee CD's are excellent.
