apart from the obvious.
Live input
Mixer screen
and
Ur Display will get brighter :)
Ur sampler will seem more user friendly.
Just off the top of my head, sure theres more benefits.

Dont forget the random panning, random sounds that burst your ears, sudden freezes... I'd strongly think about it...

I'm hoping I can get the LO (loud outburst) in a plugin version in my DAW. LOL, to be honest, I only got that when using GFX and one of the last bus channels , can't quite remember. I just stay away from them. I was using the RFX less and less by the day, and I disabled the effects engine altogether now and just use either native effects in the daw or or SIR or whatever. Yes, everything seems much more user friendly bypassing it alltogether. I could use the cake so I think I'll sell. I have used the live inputs at times but really dont need to now. So, will I be able to stay at 4.7 or will it be better to go to an earlier OS? I do have and need the ADAT though. thanks,

I'm sure this is documented elsewhere but I had the outbursts problems with my RFX32 on 4.7 and it disappeared when I went back to 4.61. I realise some want to keep 4.7 for e.g. modulating filter resonance (does that even work in 4.7?) but 4.61 was always fine for me. Also yeah, my ADAT card and the analogue i/o box needed the RFX. Personally, I love the RFX, but that's just me.

Hi IgorClark!
I'm thinking of going back myself, if I decide to put the card back in my machine.
Do experience the panning bug under 4.61?
Did u switch from fat32 to eos in the process? If so I'd be grateful for yours
or ne1 elses methodology used?
I'm guessing, to do this u need a large back up scsi drive formated eos( big enuff to take a complete snapshot of ur current working fat32 drive)
Thanx in Advance!

....mmhhh..?
everybody talking here about Panning and outbursts problems ..
I have no Problems with Panning and Outbursts .
Ihave two Maschines E4XT and Platinum , both 4.7 with RFX and Adat Live input etc...
Sometimes there are an outburst because of Filtersweeps -(Resonants) or /and Flanger . But it seems to be a digital Summing Problem. Just change the Gain and do it power up with other Outboard or later on Disk with Plugs.
Hope the best

Hi Silverman, MFP. I installed 4.7 and left the hard drive as EOS, as far as I remember. I have the RFX and the RFX-attached extra 8 analogue outputs - I have the ADAT now but didn't when I installed 4.7. I had frequent but intermittent and inconsistent problems where any one given set of outputs would suddenly have an enormous level surge. I spoke to EMU tech support and they said it was a known issue with the configuration (meaning RFX/4.7) and recommended I revert to 4.61. I did so, and the problems stopped immediately and didn't return.

Thanks Igor!!
Gonna back up to a Scsi eos drive in the next few days and try 4.61 again.
I take it nobody found a way to load the compessor plugins into 4.61?
I assume from ur post, that u don't get the panning bug under 4.61?
cheers

No, as far as I understand it, the compressor won't work on 4.61, different model or something. No panning bug under 4.61 - I didn't notice it with 4.7 either, but certainly not 4.61. No problems with that version. Good luck!

Funny enough, I had a similar impression some time ago... I stepped back in my Gain settings and/or up in the headroom, and the problem seems to occur much more seldom. I need an additional time to warm up for the system and then a reboot (strange...)
What I still have with the RFX/4.7 is sometimes a midi on only seeming to be recognized every second time. Not so with my old e64...

I remember seeing this a couple of times on my E6400 Ultra with 4.6.1, way before I got my RFX card. Hasn't happened in ages, though.

Yes , the Midi-Implation from RFX Card ist very buggy.
It?s very hard if you switsch between the RFX Edit Page and Multimode Edit Page, while reciving Midi-CC ( for the RFX Plugs ). puhhh
I think the whole RFX Card Midi Implation is not really FullFilled.
