i would really like buy the 1820m with the emulator x bundle, but i have only one pci slot left in my computer.

my friend has just got the 1820m and says that i would not need to put the daughter card into the computer because it is only a synch for external recorders and would not be needed in my set anyway.

is this correct? would the card funtion fine without the daughter card?

not that anyone answered before, but i'm in the same boat...although i DO have 2 PCI slots, i'd rather not install the daughter card. can we or what?
