Hi:)

im thinkin of getting an esi-32 to use as a main sampler because i need one to go with my old ensoniq eps16+ and the esi-32 seem to be cheap.

so my questions are,

if i install an IDE hard drive can it be any size ie. 80gb?

are there any lists of recent compatible drives?

can the files on the IDE hard drive be easily searched?

is the floppy drive able to be replaced with a ZIP drive?

thankyou

i know similar questions have been asked for other models just need to know if this will work on the esi-32 or is it the same for all models?

from reading other posts it seems the higher the OS the bigger the hard drive so can i use 4.10 OS on this model?

I used to run a Syquest drive in my Esi32.
Ur probably find the power supply is not good enuff for most hard drives and
theres little mounting space inside.

I thought u could only use scsi on the esi range?

The old zip drives were shit, don't know about the new ones.

Best bet, seperate external scsi drive imho.

cheers
