Here is something fun...

So.. I am redoing the song I finished. I am trying to get a somewhat aggressive bassline. Something distorted or angery. Just something. I also started a new choon. I found some success in over gaining a sine wave by about 30 or so dB.... It gave the sine a neat sort of square wave a sound of course.

So I though maybe if I do that with the wave form I made (which was a resample) I would get a kind of neat sound to it.

So I gained it by about 20 or so....

I got some strange clicking... nothing to spectacular.

I gain it again by 20...

No change.... Strange.

Screw it... Lets go for broke... I put 9999 in the dB gain section and...

No change....

Again...

No change?!?!?

Again...

NO CHANGE.

No matter how much I gained that sample. It wouldn't change timbre from the first over gain. It always sounded the same. Even thought the wave form was changing radically in the wave view. It got to the point where I couldn't even really see the wave form anymore. But when I played the sample... It still sounded as if I just gained by 20 and that was it.

Freaking strange. I never expected that to happen. Regardless it through my idea of over gaining my bass samples to get a better sound. Whatever.

On a side note.. I got a pretty good sub out of looping a snare from the Amen break. Go figure.
