I already own a copy of Zoeos and man I couldnt do without it. Kudos to Paul for doing a fantastic job. I know everyone is hanging out for the OS X version, and it is coming, but I am hanging out for the Linux version. Am I the only one? I'd like to start a drive going to push forward the Linux version. I'll even repurchase it at the full RRP. Is anyone with me? If I could get a linux version of Zoeos I'd be happier than a pig in s**t. I have some personal issues with Microsoft products and a linux version would enable me to cut the Microsoft cord for my home computing.

Paul, Even if you made an initial version of Zoeos available for linux without the SMDI (which I am assuming is what has to be modified for each platform) I would still buy it.

Am I just a Linux zeolot? P.S. Paul, I also have some audio editing java code that I am beginning to use that I would happily donate to the project under a BSD license.

Help me..............I'm meeeeelllllllllllllllllttttttttttttttinnnng (got to get away from MS).

Paul@Zuonics here:

I very much want to do a Linux version - the Sun Java implementation is very similar on both Windows and Linux, and of course Linux supports ASPI too, so porting the SCSI side of things might be easier. Can the cost be justified though? And there are costs: a machine, an OS, some dev tools to run on Linux, time for the developer to familiarize with Linux, understanding Linux issues, generating an installer, etc...
