But just to be sure: We are talking about a Silenx iXtreme 40x40x20 mm fan right?

YES!

Ok, I have now bought a SilenX 40x40x20 fan from kuxtompc in the uk and fitted it yesterday.
It is noticeably quieter than the stock one. In fact, the loudest bit now is the HD. If i put the HD to sleep then my E4X is virtually silent :-)
By the way, I don't suppose I can set the HD to sleep by default?

Also, out of curiosity, is anyone using an ASCII keyboard connected to their EMU? If so, which type exactly as it seems the connector at the back is bigger than a regular PC keyboard connector?

Thanks

I just pulled an old keyboard from an old pc, and it works fine for me. It is a normal connection.

You need an older type of keyboard (one with a plug that looks like a MIDI one) or, as I did, a more recent keyboard with a PS2 -> 5-pin DIN adapter. I got my adapter off Ebay for about ?3.

Check out item 160090685541 on Ebay.co.uk. ?0.99 on Buy It Now!
