E6400 reads Akai format

I need a definitive answer as can't seem to find it clearly anywhere else!
Can E6400 classic w/ 4.10 read + load an akai 3000 formatted cd rom ?
using scsi of course.

I believe it will read S2000 format, but not S3000.

Yes, no problem. Akai S-3000 conversion was introduced with EOS 4.01.
If your Classic is already running EOS 4.10, you should update it to EOS 4.62.

SO with that, will all sample info be retained when loading from AKAI S1000 or S3000 samples cd?
Does the EMU Site have the update for EOS 4.62?

You should not take my word for it, but I believe at least one loop will be retained. Or something. Emu actually mailed me 4.62 on floppies.

4.62 is available on the E-Mu website.
