It doesn't work by all accounts...What does work is an Adaptec PCMCIA SCSI card for the laptop.
This is what most laptop users use, myself included....I have a 1460 unit but there are better cards with the correct connectors included available. Try rbay or Adaptec.

Can I run the 1460B (only 2000 pro drivers) on XP? I can get one of those to a nice price. My MIDI interface was running 2000 drivers on XP so I think its possible!!
What cables or adaptors are not included???

Yeah pretty sure USB X-change does not work...The 1460 works on XP, but its a case of getting a Slim SCSI to normal SCSI cable...I can't find one and I'm gonna have to make one up for myself.

Just read that you don't have PCMCIA....You're gonna have to get a laptop that does or get a dirt cheap desktop and install a SCSI card.
Then you could control the PC from your laptop using something like Symantec PC Anywhere remote desktop software.
This way, you would only need a PC...No keyboard or mouse....Ofcourse the PC would have to have a network card or built in network on the motherboard.
I considered this option, but I have a very small room and couldn't find anymore space for a desktop PC.

But anybody sure it doesnt work? Anyone who has test it???
Could be as easy as whit my Nord Micromodular. No XP transfers over midi. App crashing on midi setup. Just run it under Win98 combabillity mode!!But I would like to have it confirmed by sombody who has given it a shot.
I could always try it my self.... An adaptor is needed for SCSI. What kind?? HD-50 Female to Centronics 50 Male, External, or what??
