hello. you're probably going to be seeing me round here a lot from now on

i ignored mr dillusion's advice because i'm an impatient cunt and went and bagged an e6400 classic for cheapish off ebay, which i'm picking up tomorrow :slayer:

i just wanted to check i had the right idea when it comes to wiring it all up.
i'm using sx3, an emu 1212m and a midi keyboard. with a desk on the shopping list but that won't be for a while.

so i'm thinking....

the 1212m has just one stereo in and one stereo out. the stereo out is already goign to my amp. so i'll have a stereo pair going from the emu into the ins of the 1212m.

then the midi out of the midi keyboard into the midi in of the soundcard. and the midi out of the soundcard into the midi in of the emu?

then i'll need an adaptec card to connect the pc to the emu to send sounds backwards and forwards (what model is it that definitely works again??)
[the sampler i've bought doesn't have an internal hdd afaik]

basically i'd like to know if this is about right or if i've got it completely wrong, what the limitations of doing it this way are goign to be (i can think of a few) and if there's a better way i could do things with my particular setup?

any info much appreciated

:loveit:
