then plug the midi out of your midiman usb keyboard into one midi input, and the emu midi out into the other midi in, and also plug the midi in of the emu into a midi out.

wait... i thought from a controller you had to go thru the midi thru on the keyboard, then send that into the midi out... wait...

well i guess i am going to look at that now... i can't remember how i have it set up :grumble:

Emu - Logic question

again,,

im pretty new to this midi stuff.

ive hooked up my emu this way:

USB Keystation MIDI OUT -> MIDI IN (Creamware Luna2)
MIDI OUT (Luna2) - > EMU MIDI IN

in my logic sequencer i ve created a new instrument:

then ive got a new track called "instrument" in my arrange window.

if i now load up a sample to the emu, i can trigger it via the midi controller and it seems to work good.

BUT

the volume of the emu output is very low - and is it possible to route the output to a channel on the logic mixer ?
to put vst fx or something on the emu output.

does this make sense ?

thanx

ok try this, when you put the EMU on an audio track in logic, instead of it being a "track 1" or "track 2" make it an "input 1" or input2" or you can make it stereo if you wish.
