Internal IDE Hard Drive

Seagate Medalist U6 40.8gb, UATA100 3.5IN 8.9MS 5400RPM

Model Number ST340810A

20gb model works as well, but if you're going to be using eos 4.7 might as well get the 40gb.

just about any harddrive will work just fine. Not to mention pretty much any drive is dirt cheap nowadays.

If you were to get a drive you would probably have a better chance finding a 40GB over a 20GB as that is about as small as they get now. You will probably also want to opt for a 7,200 RPM drive as it is quicker in saving and searching.

A really good one that I find is the Maxtor/Quantum's. I have the Quantum Fireball Plus and it is a 7,200 RPM drive 8.5MS.

hope that helps.

For lower noise try this instead:

The fujitsu 2.5" drives are very quiet, and have much lower power consumption than 3.5" drives.

I realize you are in the UK but you get the picture.
