I searched but couldnt find anything which really explains this....

what exaclty is this, how does it work and why does it take 10 minutes

ive played with it a bit but have gotten really pretty lame sounds, its really just a crap shoot with it for me.

What that is suppose to do is eliminate all the frequencies that are not common with the two sounds you are using and keep the common frequencies. If I remember correctly, of course. I don't use it either because it takes way too long and the out come is always, well, like a crap shoot as you put it. Neat idea, but too hard to sit there and find that the sound you just got is garbage.
