I just picked up a used E4X Turbo and the current EOS is 2.61. I'd like to upgrade it to 4.6x but there's a huge warning on the Emu site saying u have to make sure u have 2MB flashrom or better.

I looked on the screen they mentioned and there's no indication of how much flashrom is in there. I see that there is 4MB CPU Memory, but that's it.

I successfully upgraded the EOS on my E4XT Ultra but I'm afraid of doing it to this one without some sort of way of confirming the flashrom size.

Does the fact that it's a turbo mean it has 2mb or better? if I open the case, is there anything I should look for to check the rom size?

anyways, I figured it out. I flashed the ROM to 3.00b and it told me I have 1MB flashROM. So at least my experiences will help someone else here.

Unfortunately the hardware side of things is a bit of a grey area on this forum. It would be nice if some service manuals were made available however I dont know anyone with any.
