I've seen similar posts to yours over the past year and I don't think anyone has had any luck finding them. The funny thing is that they are so rare that you would prolly pay the full retail 3xx dollars. My only recommendation is to keep a keen eye on EBAY and to post here every once in a while.

I can remember someone looking into this on the old emusaic forum - unfortunately they never archived their posts (I have a conspiracy theory about that and the RFX panning issues ;) ).

Anyway - from what I could remember someone was complaining at the price that Emu were charging and looked into ordering them directly from a supplier. Unfortunately they were never able to find a price that matched the Emu price simply because Emu bought in such large volumes.

That was a few years back and prices certainly have gone down. However, I still think you will run into difficulty because of the small memory size of the Emu. I would think that most memory suppliers would be able to point you in the right direction as long as you can provide the correct Flash Memory specifications. Seeing as these guys http://www.oempcworld.com/ provide good service for Emu users it might be worth giving them a try.

It seems as if I'm always trying to spam this idea at people (simply because I never have the time to do it myself ;) ) but if you're looking for a silent memory option with no moving parts then you could try this viewtopic.php?t=648&highlight=compact - how embarrassing, originally posted May 2004, oopsy.
