E-MU e6400/e4XT/e4 Platinum...vs. Roland Variphrase

Greetings people. 8-)

Wondering if any users can verify the ability of any E-MU sampler, preferably high-end models(e6400 ULTRA, e4XT ULTRA, e4 PLATINUM), being able to perform one specific variphrase task...

...the ability to transpose pitch independent of time, when creating full key-range multisamples, from user-recorded samples...

...with superior, low-aliasing sound quality...
:pimp:
...unlike the variphrase... :grumble:

Thanks in advance.

Nothing is better than the Variphrase at that one specific task you're asking for. I'd suggest stocking with the Variphrase, and tweaking your settings to see if you can get results closer to what you need.
The only alternative I can thinkof that might be better than the Variphrase is Celemony Melodyne software (although in practice, I think it might only be better on some material, with Variphrase better on others).
As an all-round synth sampler, nothing is better than the Emus, and their transposition is good - just not up to the incredibly high standard of the Roland Variphrase range.
