Everytime I try to convert a folder in tanslator to eos it gives me an error. Anyone else having this problem? I basically want to just make a multisampled preset so I can load it once instead of loading each sample with a single new preset. Anyone else have this problem? Any fixes???

Yeah, me too

I just bought the emulator X2 software sampler about two weeks ago. I've been using my Emu E-5000 ultra for a few years now.

I have a decent collection of Akai disks and my own created Emulator 4 patches that I was assuming I could translate without any problems.

But if I try to do anything with the translator program that comes with the
emulator X2 software it just crashes. The little lame window just disappears.

I sent a message to Emu support and all they told me so far is to make sure
that I did not have any virus scanners or windows services running. That was, at best, the lamest response I have ever gotten back for a software issue. I might as well not even mailed them.

I e-mailed back and told them that I need this fixed and it is very important since, if I can't convert anything, that is half of the reason I bought the emulator X2 software in the first place, to be able to load more things into memory at one time, more polyphony, etc.

So, I'll try to update this thread if I hear anything back from them. . .

I'm pretty upset myself.

I think I have it . . .

Ok, I didn't know that Emu came out with 4.7 EOS that supports FAT formatted drives, etc.

So, I'm gonna load that up, then copy all of my stuff over to the FAT formatted drive (either some new zip disks or an external scsi drive, etc) and then connect that up via scsi (I have a scsi adaptec PCI card in my PC).

Supposedly, EmulatorX can read emulator 4 files natively. I'll do that and then I'll just save off the result as EmulatorX format.

I'll repost when I have tried this and let you know how it worked.

I'm surprised the Emu support team didn't suggest this. . . so much for support.

Please let me know as I'm looking at getting the Adaptec SCSI for my computer to send samples to my 6400Ultra.....

Anyone else know if you can succesfully translate presets and scsi them to the ultra this way? So far the only thing I've been able to do is burn cds with EOS waves and load them from a cd-rom, even then Translator crashes more often than not.
