hi all,
I've got an esynth ultra and I somehow erased presets that I thought were permanent and could not be erased. In the past whenever I turned on the sampler presets 1001 through 1255 (named "eosmosis" thru "departure" would already be loaded.I therefore assumed that these were the ROM sounds included with the esynth.Last night I installed a new harddrive into the esynth and was trying to do some organizing of the sounds so I made some new folders/banks in which I copied all the existing presets and then deleted presets/samples that did not belong to that sound catagory. well now when I turn on the machine a bunch of the presets are gone! I thought these presets were on the rom in the esynth! I have a cd that came with the sampler that says "e4 ultra sound library" and "e4 ultra production set backup data" but I did not buy a cd-rom drive with the sampler. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong and can I get back these sounds from that cd?
thanks, joe.

Those presets are stored in a flash rom, which means that you can delete them, and what you save in the flash rom will instantly be availible when you power your e-synth on. Send me you email address, and I'll see if I have a copy of those preset laying around.
