It's not something you can download, as it's a hardware install - a couple of chips if I recall correctly. It was possible to buy them from Emu a few years ago, but I think it's unlikely they'd still have them - and they were ?100 or so - you could buy an ESi-32 (or ESi-2000/4000 - same OS) with the latest OS for about half the cost of those chips, on ebay.

Let?s start a collection of resources for this sampler. Here are my contributions.

----------------------------------

OS's:
v1.04 - The first OS launched with the ESI-32. Two major bug fixes. bus error and sample feedback on power up.

v2.00 - A bug fix release which improved the data encoder acceleration, provioded faster boot times from a Syquest drive, cleaned up the CDROM loading and implemented some screen changes in the Digital Processing Loop feature.

v2.10 - This was a major improvement over previous releases, there are new features as well as a number of bug fixes. Preset and Samples can be loaded from Floppy Disk. The Scrub Wheel is implemented. MIDI receve Program Change has on/off. SMDI (SCSI sample dump) support. PC and Mac support. EIIIx compatibility. Drive Select shows all devices. Load/Save shows bank size. Controller 32 causes Pitch Bank. Faster SCSI and more compatibility. Audition from Disk volume increased. Improved signal quality in Doopler/Pan and Digital Tuning. Improved Data Encoder resolution. Akai and EMaxs II import process improved. ESI-32 SCSI ID renamed ESI-32 (Local) ID. Mac on SCSI bus renamed Avoid Host on ID and can be set to any value from 0 to 7.

v2.12 - This version supports the newer Motorola Processors.

v3.00 - This major version of software has many new features for the ESI sampler and bug fixes. The new filters types are direct copies of those implemented in the Orbit sound module. These digital filters originate from the Z-plane filter technology first used in the Morpheus module, and are; two High Pass, three Band Pass, three new Low Pass filters, a Flanger, three Swept filters, three Phasers, two Vocal filters, and the famous Bottom Feeder (bass distortion).

v3.01 - This software original came with the TURBO kit, but it introduced a MIDI sample dump bug, which had to be fixed in a new release - version 3.02.

v3.02 - The latest software with all version 3 features and the MIDI sample dump problem fixed. sample bug fixed.

If you have an OS version that I don't, and want to send me the images or chips, I'd be glad to flash a set of a version I have and mail it to you.
