ok i have the emu e4xt ultra running on eos 4.6
this question may have come up and I'm taking a short break before i get back into the production session, but I have a questioin concerning outputs.
ok. now in the emu, i have my main out, and sub mix 2 and 3. the back of my machine, I have 8 outputs. is there a way i can assign presets to a particular out? I want to route them back into the moto traveler so that I can process them seperatly in digital performer.
thanks.

yes, in the multimode screen you can choose which outs to send each preset to.
if you want to send a preset mono, just pan it hard left or right on that specific out.

ok.
so in theory let's say i have a bass and a break. I can send them thru the same submix but I could pan one hard left and one hard right hand have them go through the two different analoge cables? IF that's the case, then this is PERFECT!!!
I gotta go experiment with this.

yes
thats why you only have 8 stereo outs, but you have 16 mono outs.
just make sure when they come into your desk/card that you deal with them correctly.

best thing is watch sos readers ads, set up a search alert on ebay and just ask around.
i have had a search alert for anything "emu" on ebay for 6 months and seen about 3 of those cards.

hey... just make sure you read about the issues that the RFX crad causes. It has bugs that will probably never be resolved (at least by EMU), so just make sure you read about them before buying one. I bought one and got rid of it, it is buggy as all get out.

i'm glad i found this thread, i have an esi 4000 and am having some trouble with the fx going to where i want. i can send say reverb to sub 1 but when i try to send something to sub 2 it doesn't come up, it only comes out on sub 1 still. i've tried to sort it myself but can't seem to, is there something really obvious that i am missing?
