Want a silent drive for your e4 ?try a scsi pcmcia card reader/writer, mounted internally or externally this will give from 0-2gb with ata flash cards, and up to 9gb with compact flash(we used a microtech pcd 47 b).run your eos at v.4 or later.the drives are a little slower than a hard disc, but totally quiet.you can also use a scsi to ide bridge adapter for running up to 18gb ide hard discs in non-ultra samplers.experimenting with firewire to scsi conversion for e4`s as well;will post if successful !
