man emu is the easiest sampler ot navigate and grasp, took me all of 1-2 hours. ( and that was without using the manual)

Anyway, sounds like you are not selecting the sound in presset edit, make sure to create a preset that has the voice spread out over the whole keyboard, then just move over to the bit that says empty sample and turn the dial until you see the sample you want assigned. Now it wiill sound when u hit audition and when you send the sampler midi from your keyboard.

Then again if it has taken you 2 days even with the manual and still not worked it out, amybe you should burn it after all hehe.

i keed i keed.

sell it, use software.

it is really not that hard.

there are several threads on this forum regarding presets.

good luck

For a single sample sound:

1. record your sample, select the correct root note, 'place' it and name the sample in Sample Manage
2. If you didn't place your sample, map that sample in Preset Edit mode across your keyboard
3. Name the Preset in Preset Manage mode
3. Name your bank and save it; your sample and preset will be saved too

A preset is what you play from the keyboard (it's made up of at least one sample) so you must map/place the sample(s) within that preset.

Hope this helps,
