SCSI Adapter

Hi

I recently bought an Adaptec 2930CU which I will be running with OS9.

However..the SCSI Port on the Card doesn't fit with the cable that comes with the E4xt ultra. the cable from the sampler is like 50 pin big connector..and the card one much smaller.

Can anyone point me to the right adapter?

Hi Christian,

You need to get a cable with a 50 Pin High Density connector at one end and normal 50 Pin connector at the other. One of the larger on-line computer stores in your country should be able to sort you out for one of those. I reckon you could probably even get on from Adaptec themselves.

Cheers,
Adam-V

Thanks Adam-v

I looked on the Adaptec site

For the end to the Card I need a HD50 (High Density) Connector.

Do I need for the other (e4xt) a low density 50 or 68 pin?

Hard to find these days. But I wanna be sure that I am gonna buy the right cable.

Thanks a lot.

The connector on the E-mu is a 50 pin centronics.

I'd try and get an Adaptec or Belkin cable to be sure of the quality if I was you.

Hi

Ok. it is very hard to find. in switzerland no chance..maybe in germany

Maybe you have the PC Version of the Card..very hard to know the difference...

I have to check myself whether I bought the Mac Version..

You can use chickensys to burn a cd if you have a scsi cd rom drive..

i will write when it works..

That picture doesn't look like the right cable - it looks like an ordinary 25 pin SCSI connector - you need HD50. PM me your address, and I'll send you one.
