Foot Pedal Input (E4K)

Tonight I was trying to use the foot pedal input as a cv in from my mc-4 and I got an error. Everything worked as it should, but even when I didn't have the input corded to anything it was modifying the pitch. Is there some global setting that maps the foot pedal to pitch or some controller? Any way to change this?
