(and vide versa)
Hi,
Lots of questions here.
Im considering purchasing a 4xt platinum. I currently own X2 (and love it). However Ive always wanted the HW version, mainly for the AD converter phatness. (however, does this still apply if Im using ADAT?)
listed are the comparisons I already know, please help me make a wise decision by adding to this list.
4.06>
Pros over X2
-sequencer
-AD converters
-HW unit
X2>
Pros over 4.06
-easy drag and drop to map samples
-region explode
-scsi not required
-large editing screen
-synth swipe
-function generator
Cons>
-can eat CPU with large presets
-can be unstable at times
**Also- if I have 128mB memory, how fast is this relative to X2 running on 3.4mhz CPU and 2 gig ram? (I know this is a long shot comparison)
AND- can 4.06 generate midi files from chopped loops?
any advice?
thanks!!
