Greetings,

For what its worth, Ratoc have a new(ish) MacBook Pro compatible USB SCSI device out:

http://www.ratocsystems.com/english/sup ... _list.html

Not sure if this will work with any apps like Bias etc, but its worth knowing. At the very least you should be able to connect old SCSI drives with this for image backups etc.

Some info on supporting samplers:

http://www.ratocsystems.com/english/sup ... cx.html#04

However, the compatibility list for windows and Akai samplers doesnt show compatibility - but this predates the Intel Mac Update. Buyers beware.

No, I haven't tried this. Going removable IDE route per other post.

Another report of working Firewire/SCSI on Intel Macs

Looks like other people have success with SCSI to Firewire also on the Intel Macs.

http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jsp ... 6&tstart=0

This is for scanners, but worth knowing.

Synclavier Users including Intel Mac Users report success in reading Synclavier disks (not dissimilar to E Mu EOS Disks):

http://www.synclavier.com/RATOC/RATOC.html

This indicates that Emu MacBook users could connect external SCSI drives separately to the MacBook Pro/Intel Macs and read/write drives directly, use translator or transfer wave files directly: Chicken Systems - listen up :)
