E4K, loading Akai CDs, converting questions

Well it's been over a month since I got my E4K Turbo; it's a beautiful keyboard but it's been a complete learning experience... it's the first time I work with a sampler, didn't know that the bank has to first load into the machine before it can be played... I was accustomed to the preset synths and romplers....

Loaded an Akai Mellotron CD (the Mike Pinder one); it loaded fine but the sound is so harsh, with no bottom end, quite unpleasant. Also tried an Akai version of the Miroslav Vitous Symphonic Orchestra, with the same results.

Maybe this is because the Akai format is not fully read from EOS? I have version 2.8 in the machine.

I was looking for an Akai-to EIV converter; checked CDXtract and Extreme Sample Converter but they convert only to Emulator X format. If you could recommend a proper converter I'll appreciate it.

I also wonder if there is a way to create my own E-mu CDs, so that they're readable from the SCSI CD-Rom.

The E4K came loaded with some nice violins in 128 voices, they don't have the fidelity problem of the Akai CDs. But I don't have the E4K CD that originally would have come with the keyboard... If anybody has a copy of this CD I would appreciate letting me know.

Sorry for these many questions...
