Having trouble burning EMU cd images in .img format

Hi,
I have a CD image file (.img) of ESI banks that was sent to me and I'm trying to figure out how to burn it to CD. It seems to be a raw image file and it seems I need information about block size and so on (or so alcohol 120 tells me!).

Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks in advance!

You might try CDXtract.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice re the samples on the psy-works site, but I'm having the same problem with the E4 Studioline file there. I know I can burn iso files but this seems to be raw image file and nothing seems to burn it correctly. Don't know whether it's relevant, but I notice that the Heart of Africa img file has .ccd and .sub files too.

Thanks.

I seem to have solved it :))

The trick seems to be to rename the file .nrg and burn it with Nero. Oddly though this identifies it as a raw file and shows the same block size and options as Alcohol but Nero burns it correctly.

Lesson learned a) search forum b) Nero is king.
