Hi there,

I'm trying to create a disk image of my E5000's internal HD (Quantum Fireball) but neither CDXTRACT nor Rubber Chicken's Translator is able to see the drive. I'm running WinXP and EOS v4.10a.

Ultimately i'm trying to convert some banks to Kontakt. Has anyone had success with this?

Many thanks!

If its an IDE drive, it won't be seen on the SCSI bus.

if its SCSI, AND its EOS formatted, your PC should see it.

If its SCSI, AND its FAT32, Windows and the Emu will throw a fit (two masters) and possibly corrupt the drive.

Best bet is to transfer samples to something your PC can see independently

* removable IDE drive per my other post (USB 2.5" IDE drives in Ultra)
* ZIP drives
* CF Memory cards

the first option is the cheapest and actually easier than trying to muck around with SCSI, especially if you use a Mac.
