Managing samples, presets, banks etc...

So I have been messing around lately with sending samples to the emu from recycle and setting up multi's, but im still a bit confused with the best way to save my samples.
I have read through the manual a bit and it is somewhat confusing for the beginner at hard synths such as myself.
I guess what I want to do is send my samples and be able to save them all in a group so when I pull up a track in cubase I can just load that group(i guess its called bank) and have my multi alll set up the way I left it.
I spose i will get it sooner or later but maybe some experianced guys can throw around some ideas for the best way to save and manage saples, or what works best for you. or maybe just try to answer my question.
any help/tips appreciated..
