Thanks for the info. I notice they've also put instructions for all of the expansion options - though some are dead links at the mo.

Can't get it to work here, with or without Flashprep.
The file's labelled "eos_V460.exe", so maybe they've linked to the wrong file? (surely it'd be eos_V462.exe?)

After install, it says EOS 4.62.
If you're upgrading from EOS 4.10a, you need to use FlashPrep first, and have the EOS 4.62 floppy ready as you'll need to insert it after the boot flash update.
For Classic users, I guess that it's no big improvement. Maybe they've ironed out a few bugs, but the only new feature as such is importing Ensoniq samples. As for the rest, it can only work with Ultra machines (Beat Munger, 32Mb FlashROM creation...).

...and you've installed it on a Classic machine have you? Have tried everything here, but it rejects it in the same manner as if trying to put an Ultra specific EOS on a Classic spec machine.

Yes, my E4K is running 4.62 right now.
I'll upload a self-extracting archive for Windows that is known by me to work.

Do you have the 2Mb FlashRAM required to install this OS?
I have now uploaded my copy of EOS 4.62. It's worked with an E4K and an E6400.

Sure, I've got 2MB CPU Flash - am running 4.10a currently.
Did you pm ezman to inform him of your upload? Can't see it in the files section...

Hmm, the E-mu site now has the 4.62 download pointing to a "462prep.zip" file as opposed to the "eos_V460.exe" file, which looks more likely to be the right file.
However, the link currently appears to be broken.....

Time to dig out the ol' ASR10 floppies.
How are the ginny-pigs getting on with the OS?
