Yep I'm a registered Recycle user - and the new version 2.1 will not support hardware samplers, so to use it you'd have to save the recycled loop as individual files and then SMDI them over to the Emu using something else. Gutted.

that is very strange. i thought 90% of recycle users were hardware sampler users. what figures?!

Yeah, that's what I thought. I guess they can't be bothered keeping up that side of development. I imagine the fact that no new Macs come with SCSI by default has something to do with it; also they probably want to get more and more people using Reason which ties in so well with ReCycle. Ho hum. I'm on PC at the moment but looking to move to a Mac in the new year - for SMDI transfers I think I'm going to be looking at either Bias Peak or ZoeOS.

Its only for Windows.

I posted this thread with Mac OS X in mind. Unfortunately we have been completely SLAMMED out the door becuase there are NO alternatives to Recycle on the Mac.

It would be great if the crew out at Square Circle developed a Mac OS X version. I'd buy it now if it were available.

From what I can tell the only option on OSX is going to be to use ReCycle to chop and export to wav/aiff and then use Peak (or maybe ZoeOS when it's finished on Mac) to do the SMDI. Pain in the arse.
