Send sample to EMU via MIDI cable

Some people say that this can be done. Is there any way to send sample via midi cable without buying additional software?

Yup download the C6 software from this site works fine

Thanks for the info. I haven't read the manual for the application if there is one. When the samples dump back and forth, are they transferred as .wav files?

Erm yeh i think so i havnt used it in a while 16bit wav i think.

Does C6 receive samples as well?

I would imagine it does yes i havnt got my midi out cable plugged into my emu at the min but im pretty sure it does. Just set up C6 in config then press receive. Then dump sample on the emu. Sample manage/Utils/Dump/Direction transmit/dump

Does the C6 program work between a PC and E6400 classic ?
This is the first I've heard of this midi sample transfer method .
Anyone using it who could explain how it works ?

Just try it theres a windows download on the download page works for fine me on mac i dont see there being any difference on pc.
