You can use panning to split preset on one stereo output to two seperate mono outputs.
ie
Preset for Kick Snare

Kick Sub 1 panning -63 (Mixing desk channel 1)
Snare Sub 1 panning +63 (Mixing desk channel 2)

you can also set all your kicks to voice 1, snares to voice 2 and hihats to voice 3 etc...
then in the amplifyer section route the bus and the pan to give you whatever you want =)

DS-1 is right. To expand on what was said ...

You can definately do that (at least on a 6400ULT - I would think it's the same on the 5000).

On the main screen (multimode screen or whatever), make sure that the output is set to voice. Then go into the preset and go to edit voice for each individual voice. Hit Amp/Filt. Hit prev/next until you see the Amp screen with an output parameter. Set it to the appropriate output. As long as its set to voice on the main screen, it will do what you wanted.

Hope this helps ...

Don't underestimate the power of the EMU.

Also, if you havn't had a chance to check them out, the filters on this bad bwoy are straight gansta! The EQ style "filters" are really powerfull as well. Not that you wouldn't want to use the EQs on your mixer. But knowing the strengths and weaknesses of each can help to refine your sound. Anyway, ignore me if you've already checked 'em ... but if you havn't ...
