Loading a present or sample only

Hi,

I've just got an E4X without library running EOS 3.00b

I ordered a sample CD (just one to test it all works etc) and its arrived.

However, is it possible to load in just 1 preset from the library (and its samples) or just one sample without having to do this daft "Merge Bank" Business.

TIA

Keith

what the hell.........

Loading samples or presets is possible and very easy!!!

If you go to the Disk Menu, you have the possibiliy to go deeper into the file system with the "Enter" Button.
Go to a folder and press ENTER. So you can see all the banks of the folder. Pressing ENTER again, and you could see all presets of the specific bank.

and so on..........

Go with the cursor to the preset or sample you wish to load, and press load.........

And please read the Manual 8-)

Thanks guys... I downloaded one just after I posted this and eventually found out about the disk section.

This is going to make things much simpler :-)

Sorry, it's been a while since worked with my E4, so it was the oppposite that was impossible: Saving only a sample to Harddisc was impossible, you had to save the whole Bank.

You can actually save Presets and even single samples only, but AS A BANK, oh Mr. E-mu that was stupid. How great would it be if you could save a single sample to an existing bank, so now you save the preset or single sample to disk and have to load/merge with another bank to combine and save this again, grrr.

actually its a pain, but it is a lot better than the old E2 and E3 system. Seriously. Not exactly brilliant and I hate programming the front of racks anyway but at least its approaching being 'object' based.
