how to rearrange voices on preset edit screen?

Hi all, this is my first post here so perhaps you'll excuse what seems a very basic question. I've searched the EMU manual and, embarrassingly, haven't been able to figure this out.

In EOS 4.7, when in the preset edit screen, how can I rearrange the order of the voices? For example, how can I move 'V5' to a higher position such as 'V1'?

I'm using the e6400 Ultra if that's relevant.

My inability to do this is starting to create unnecessary confusion in my presets. For example I'm working on a preset for my Vdrum kit, and after appending different groups and multisample zones to my originally logical ordering (for example reflecting different variable hi-hat zones), the various groups for my hi-hat are now split up above/below other drums. I really need to rearrange them so that things will be easier to digest in the future.

Thanks in advance!

Andy

See my posting here: http://www.emusonacid.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3642

I recommend creating presets e.g. for hi-hats, for toms, etc. and link them together.
Each of these presets can hold multiple sounds (e.g. closed hi-hat, closing hi-hat or pedal, open hi-hat) with multiple layers for switching/cross-fading the sounds, depending on the velocity level.

Another work-around is to create a new preset and copy the voices from the current preset in the desired order to the new preset. Delete the source-preset afterwards.

Thanks for the quick and informative reply:)

I haven't checked out the link feature yet, but will read up in the manual about it. It sounds like a more streamlined way to go about this.

Cheers!
