So can anyone tell me what sounds i can load into my E6400 with 3.00b eos I have tried floppy disk with akai sounds but the file is unknown I tried bit torrents with emu sounds on a scsi cd rom but i think that you have to do something to the files to get the image right or something, so can some one please let me know what file types are readable by this machine ....

Is it that i have to get disks just for the e6400?

Thank you

EOS only supports CD-ROMs in AKAI-format. Floppy Discs in AKAI-format are not recognized.
Regarding the EMU CD-ROMs it seems that you did something wrong.

The media and file formats supported with EOS 3.00 are AFAIK:
- all media of EOS-line samplers
- HD of an EMAX-II, floppy discs are not supported
- CD-ROM & HDs of Emulator III, Emulator IIIx (xs & xp), ESi-32, ESi-2000, ESi-4000
- CD-ROM & HDs of AKAI S1000 and S3000 format

HD included all removeable media from e.g. SyQuest and IOMega.
Later on basic support for Ensoniq ASR-series as well as Roland S7x0-series has been added.
