Please just forgive my ignorance. I've heard wonderful excerpts from the Miroslav Vitous string orchestra cd's.
Let's imagine I have an E4 ultra. Can its Ram size handle upload of those samples from those cd's. Or ar they only meant to be loaded on a computer (which I do not want)? How does this work?
best regards
Massimo

Yeah the miroslav cds are great arent they. If you get the cds in emu format you can load the banks/presets/samples no problem. Not all at once though (the higher the ram the more you can load). The best thing to do would be to install an ide hard drive (preferably a removable ide) in your ultra & save the cds to it then you can load them at anytime without messing with cds.
hope this helps.

Hi catch,
thank you! So when you purchase the Vitous cd's you must specify you want the version suited for e-mu samplers?
best regards

Dont forget the emu will read akai too
So if you can get this set much cheaper in akai format I would consider buying it instead of emu.
Or if you can borrow an akai version then ......

i have both here.
Vitous Lib sounds good for Chamber Music.
Siedlaczek for Orchestra ( Hollywood Score Stuff ).
...but in this Times the Orchestra Libs for Computer based Daw´s are much better and Confortable in Handling & Sound .
Realy much better !
Look at East-West or VSL etc .
