I found these charts on the web.
They give some great starting points for the best ways to EQ your sounds to work in the mix.
There is some good info telling you how to tweak your many different instruments to help achieve a less muddy louder crisper mix.
I have created pictures from this doc (to print for easy reading) they are also included with the original PDF.
