How to create a backup ISO from CD

Hi,
I need to backup my originals E-mu CDs to a ISO in order I can further burn it again and use the data inside,
I search the web but it is very confusing:
Do I need a SCSI CD-ROM and PCS SCSI card? becasue I think Windows can only read E-mu's CDs if it's from a SCSI
CD-ROM drive.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I use nero to make and burn disc images.
This creates an img file (like iso but neros format)

The data on the cdrom is not readable by windows OS but nero will just copy an image irrelevant to format. The disc image can then be burned to a blank cd
You can just use the standard internal cd/dvd writer thats inside your PC to make and burn image files, no special kit required.

In-fact windows will read and play the data thats on a emu/akai cd-rom if you use CDXtract linkhttps://www.soundlib.com/cdxtract/ . The software will also allow you to save the banks on a cd into another sampler format.
