Curious to know wether your concern is on moral or legal grounds, because I wouldn't think that Emu/Creative would persue you, any-more than Roland would for using an 808/909 sample set.
I think that by now these sounds have entered the public domain ( just as the EBay seller auctioning his copies does)
Sampling is so creative yet it still has many grey areas even after years of debate.

Can anyone tell me why I'm not getting notifs? I have ticked "notify me" etc.

THanks for the link, Jahfunk: very interesting indeed.
My reasons are both moral and legal, in fact, but more moral, since, as you say, the legal side is probably not sth to worry about, esp. as s/o is selling them openly on Ebay. (I was also under the impression that he was on here, but perhaps I was mistaken.)
Anyway, I don't want to get into a discussion about it, as it's depressingly complex. I'm sure you're familiar with the Bittersweet Symphony story, but for anyone who isn't...Allen Klein, what a lovely guy!

As I said, tell me how to do it, give me sw to put it, and I'm game. Do I just do a Save Bank to Zip, for example?

It's a 'little' more involved than just saving a bank to zip. First you need to figure a way to get 'just' the samples from the rom into memory all in the correct order without the E mu randomly deleting samples when you delete a presets even though you have told it not to. Then, you 'simply' remap every single sample in the preset to point to the ones now in memory. Repeat the procedure 255 times and you are done :) Or just buy the one on ebay.... :)
All the very best.

Oh go on, give us a few more clues, please! :-)) After all, I did plug your ad on Ebay! ;)
Actually, I only want about a dozen of the more exotic presets, as the rest of the bread and butter sounds are covered by the stuff in my E5000.
The lovelier sounds are like "evolving pads" that reallly do evolve over what seems like 10 seconds or more: bootiful!
I guess if I made an effort to properly RTFM I might figure out how to export individual presets before flogging this big heavy beast of a synth. :???:
