EIV Backlight Replace Walkthrough

Anyone seem a step-by-step (preferably with pictures) on replacing an EIV (Classic) display backlight? The backlight on mine has failed completely. I have a replacement, but I'm nervous about fitting it.

OK, I bit the bullet and did it. It sort of works. There's something a little wrong though. Some of the items in some menus display oddly. It's a bit odd, as it's not obviously related to the menus being at a particular position on the screen. Anyone else noticed this after changing an EL backlight panel?
