EIV > Mac SCSI

I'm wondering if anyone has managed to connect their EIV to a Mac running OS X via SCSI? I know this used to be possible, back in the pre-OS X days, but I'd be interested to know if it still is. I haven't managed to find a PCI-Express SCSI card or SCSI -> USB/FireWire adapter with OS X drivers.

I think no chance at all.
If you find something , say me.

That's disappointing to hear MFPhouse. I'll certainly let you know if I find any more details off-list. I have a bit of a plan-B, in as much as I have an old Apple iBook G3 laptop gathering dust. I could potentially install OS 9 on it and try and find a SCSI -> USB or SCSI -> FireWire adapter cable with MacOS 'Classic' drivers. I really just want to be able to backup the contents of the EIV internal HD every so-often, and maybe burn banks off to CD for archiving.

Anyone any experience using a SCSI > USB or SCSI > FireWire adapter for non-USB-equipped machines?

it will work. I use a Castlewood USB to SCSI adapter, Bias Peak 5.2 and my e6400 classic running EOS 4.62.

Here's a video proving it:

and a thread explaining it:

Oh, thanks 5c4r7. That's good to know. I'm actually more interested in connecting the EIV to a Mac so that I can backup banks to another hard-drive.

If it's an Ultra, then that should be possible if you are running EOS 4.7 I believe.
