Classic E Synth SCSI hard drive suggestions

Hello,

I recently got a hold of an E Synth classic. It has EOS 4.10. I would like to get an internal SCSI, however the EMU website no longer has a compatibility list. Would anyone be kind enough to suggest a decent compatible SCSI drive for the E Synth? I don't need too much extra space and something quieter would be nice. I would appreciate it, I don't want to get into the habit of buying and selling hd's that are not compatible for obvious reasons.

Thanks,

Miles

@Miles:
The SCSI HDs are not available new. You will get some old (noisy) drives without knowing how long they will work.
For importing WAV- or AIFF-files you need the floppy drive.

As an alternative you can also get a SCSI-Cardreader (PCD-50B + PCMCIA-Adapter) and use a CF card of up to 16GB.
When using it as an internal device (installed at the place of the Floppy Drive), you have to switch the EMU off before removing the CF-card.
You will also loose the option to import WAV- or AIFF-files via floppy disc (MSDOS).
IF you use a MAC- or PC-based Sample Editor with Sample Dump via SCSI, you can use this for importing (processed) samples from outside.

If you use a cardreader as external device with an own power supply (recommended) you can switch it off, exchange the CF-card, switch it on again and let the EMU mount the SCSI devices.
If your next question is: Why should I exchange the CF-card?
The answer is: For organizing a larger amount of sounds or different sets or maybe backup purposes.
