Hi im new here ,
Got a question to people sequencing withe an e5000 ultra etc
1.is it possible to play external modules thru the sequencer ?
I have an audity2000 i want to use in my tracks .
Is it just as easy as conecting it to the midi thru of the ultra ?

If somebody here that also works linea this
Can you Please share Some tips . I would be gratefull .

I think that most of the users use graphical applications or pattern orientated sequencer for recording. Therefore noone is answering your question.


If you want to control the Audity through the internal sequencer of your E5000 you have to connect it to the MIDI OUT of the E5000.

If you want to control the Audity through another device where its MIDI OUT is connected to the MIDI IN of the E5000, you have to connect your Audity to the MIDI THRU port. The latter is called "daisy chain". In this case the E5000 can't send data to the Audity.

If you have a MIDI Controller (e.g. keyboard) and you want to control the E5000 and the Audity at the same time or alternate between this two targets while the E5000 should also control the Audity, you need a MIDI merger that can merge at least two inputs (MIDI Out from the E5000 and MIDI Out from the MIDI Controller) and transmit the data on another out where the Audity is connected to.
A MIDI Patchbay respectively MIDI Merger that can do this is a Roland A880 (8 MIDI IN, 8 MIDI OUT, Merging 2 INs).
