Hi guys!

I wonder if I could pick your brains....

I have two ESI-4000s which are currently in a SCSI chain with an external hard drive, and work perfectly. I have purchased an internal Zip100 drive for one of the ESIs as a convenient way to load/backup.

Having opened the ESI up, I'm not sure how I replace the floppy drive with the zip drive. Is there a way of connecting the zip drive to the board and to still have the ability to access the extrernal hard drive via SCSI? Do I need some sort of adaptor to get from the back of the zip drive to the pins on the board where the floppy drive currently goes in, or do I have to use the SCSI slot on the board, which would mean I can't access the external SCSI chain?

I really hope someone can help!

Thanks.

You will need a new internal scsi cable which will give you the same external socket that you already have but also an internal socket so you can connect the zip drive, you will also need to adapt the internal power cable that goes from the motherboard to the floppy/zip drive. Its all easy enough to do.
