Hi folks,

Does anyone know if its possible to find out if you have a 2.5" or 3.5" hard disk in an Emu ?? But without having to lake the lid off ?? So if can you look in (say) INFO catagory and find out that way ?? Or is there no way of finding out without actually looking inside ??

In the Disk Browser you can get the INFO about a disk Drive.
If you look up the Drive Model in e.g. Google or the website of the HD manufacturer, you will get the information if your drive is a 3.5" or a 2.5" model.

It says on the INFO :-

Quantum Fireball ct 08 04

And a search sent me to :-

But i am not sure which bit on information refers to the Disk Size ??

If it is a drive from Quantum then its size is 3.5".

Thats great. i am getting the Disk changed on my Emu to an 80GB size as it only holds 4GB presently.

The Quantum Fireball lct 08 04 is a 3.5" IDE harddrive with a capacity of 4112mb the E4XT Ultras have been equipped with.
