What are the new features in EOS 4.7? Is that the most current version of EOS? How can I tell what version of EOS I'm running on my E5000?

4.70 is an Ultra only upgrade
If you are running non ultra you cannot up to this version EOS.

Its been the source of many a headache if you have the RFX 32 f/x card .

2. Real time control of resonance.

2. Reads FAT formatted media.
This feature allows users to fit an internal IDE drive with storage of 128GB, this drive will be usable by the emu once it is formatted in FAT!
Also as FAT is a format that computers will recognise users are able to move files between the sampler and computer, this is useful for importing/exporting WAVs, presets, banks, and sequences.

There are probably more features like perhaps new filter types, but the above are the best reasons to upgrade.

Current version of EOS is briefly shown during boot up, but can be found by pressing... master - utils (f1) - about (f6) read the second line eg SW version EOS v4.70
