Emu hard drive - 80 pin to 50 pin scsi adaptor questions

OK, so I'm using an E-synth keyboard.
i bought a 9gb seagate barracuda (80 pin scsi) and a sca-scsi adaptor (80 pin - 50 pin converter). I also bought the internal scsi cables and the floppy power cable shown on the guide to how to install an IDE drive into an Emu.
(here is the adaptor i'm talkking about http://www.stsi.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/add80fid50m.jpg)
Now it was said that Emu has reversed the pins on the power to hd...
So can someone help me out, seeing as power goes into the adaptor before going into my hard drive, does that mean i have to reverse the pins on the adaptor? What do i have to do to make it work safely?
Also what kind of screws do i need to get to mount the drive inside my Emu E-synth keyboard?
Thanks
