I have created a small bank consisting of presets for the basic waveforms ie Sine, Sawtooth, Triangle, and Square waves and Noise. This bank is extremely small and easily fits on a floppy. I am wondering if it would be a good idea to contribute this bank of synth basic waveforms to the forum so that other members may add their own presets to the bank. This forum project bank could also include cording examples mentioned in the forum. As the bank, gets built up by various members it can be made available in the downloads section. I'm wondering if a rule should be that the bank has to fit on a single floppy.

What does everyone think?

I created this bank on my Emulator X, but when I export it into my Ultra it sounds like , So I'm gonna resample everything using the Ultra today.

I will contribute as well. I still need to contribute to a thread over on doa, so this weekend would be good, sunday actualy. I am going to go and get my ass kicked in a halo tournement saturday. I have some strange wave forms, like sines squared and rectified sines and the lot. I need to get the chikensys translator... i wonder if it works with xp?

I am completely down for this.

Yes, I'm using Translator with XP and it works fine.

Still havent sampled the basic waveforms into the ULTRA. Going to a wedding today so it looks like it will be a few days before I'm able, unless someone else wants to take up the baton.

My wife thinks the emoticons are kewl and wanted me to include this one

I've finished sampling the basic waveforms and have created some basic presets (that dont do anything but play the sound).

The waveforms include

Sine A3
Triangle A3
Sawtooth A3
Square A3
White Noise

the whole bank is less than 200K so it easily fits on a floppy. Last night I was thinking that these waveforms or combinations of the waveforms could be used to build some kewl synths using the E4.

Who do I contact in order to post the bank into the downloads section of this board?

I use these test tones to make all my sounds, all that i don't sample. Right now in the song I am working on, i am using the basic test tones to make my lead. It sounds pretty good.

I will post my tones as well. I will convert them all to mono so polyphony isn't an issue and I will send them as a bank so people and download the bank and just go nuts. You of course would have to set up the sample to pan across the keyboard with the origin at A3 or A4, whatever. then all you have to do is load up multiple waves and go nuts. I have gone so crazy as to have 6 or 8 voice patches. I will post mine up after the Halo tournament tomorrow. Like I said, I have some crazy stuff. I can't remember all the stuff I have but i have dups of everything, in other words I have positive starters and negative starters, well as best as I can get it anyway.
